Tibbetts, Chief Technical Officer
John
Tibbetts is a well-known consultant, developer, and software theorist.
His most recent project is launching the open-source WorkThru framework
and heading up the emerging WorkThru community.
During
his 30-year career, John Tibbetts has worked with software companies
IBM, Netscape, Forte, Versant, and BEA, and Oracle. His enterprise
clients include many large insurance, utility, transportation, telecommunication,
and hardware companies.
During
the dot-com era, he was Chief Technology Officer of TreasuryX, a
company building a Web-based management and operations system for
large corporate treasuries, and as a founder and Chief Technologist
of the on-line collaborative commerce start-up ePropose, Inc.
Throughout
most of the 1990s, he and Barbara Bernstein co-wrote the popular
"Developments" column for InformationWeek magazine.
John
is affiliated with the Cutter Consortium
as a Senior consultant.
Barbara
Bernstein, Chief Operating Officer
Barbara Bernstein was Vice President of Kinexis during the gestation
phase of the WorkThru framework, and built it into a successful
consulting company. With John Tibbetts, she has written more than
300 columns for InformationWeek. They also wrote the book
Building Cooperative Processing Applications (Wiley) and
contributed frequently to Software Magazine.
She
was Manager of Technical Documentation at both TreasuryX and ePropose
and is now actively involved in the WorkThru community. She runs
the self-referential movies Web site, Movies-seivoM
and her picture recently appeared in the magazine Cahiers du
Cinema.
